Regular soda is one of the worst things you can put in your body. It's full of artificial chemicals.

And the problem with these artificial chemicals is they are toxic to the body and cause hormonal problems in your body that cause you to gain weight.

Typically your store bought soda is loaded with high fructose corn syrup.

High fructose corn syrup causes both the leptin and insulin resistance in the body and leptin.

It’s crucial that you keep these hormones responding properly because with a resistance it causes your body to go into fat storage mode.

What most people don't realize is that diet soda is just as bad for you as regular soda. It’s another ploy to make you think you’re drinking something good… but in reality the artificial sweeteners used in diet soda also cause leptin resistance.

What they do is act as an excitotoxic in the in the part of your brain known as the hypothalamus, which is in charge of energy and metabolism regulation. They interrupt your body's energy regulation which causes leptin resistance, and again, leading to weight gain.

This is a perfect example about why it's not just about calories in and calories out.

Many studies show that people who drink diet soda are more likely to gain weight over the next five years.

And that wouldn't be the case if diet soda were really to work as a “diet”, and if it was really just about calories.

So what do you do?

Well I've got a soda here that I think is super tasty and easy. But before I tell you the recipe let me just shout out to Food Matters TV and their recipe book.

That's where I got this really simple and really good recipe.

All you do is you take a cup of soda water.

Then add 2 teaspoons of apple cider vinegar. Apple cider vinegar is very good for your body and helps your liver detoxify and get rid of free radicals.

It also helps friendly bacteria thrive in your intestines .

Then add half a lemon and a few ice cube, and enjoy!

It tastes a little bit like ginger ale. And it's so simple and so super healthy, as both the lemon and the apple cider vinegar help your body detoxify .

They heal digestion and they get rid of free radicals . Both of these aspects help to create a hormonal environment in your body that's conducive to weight loss.

Now if you’re conditioned to having soda really sweet, there's a couple of different ways that you can add sweetness.

One way to sweeten is to add stevia. Stevia is the best sweetener you can use because it is pure stevia leaf extract.

But you’ll only want to put one or two drops in to sweeten. That may be all you need.

Stevia in general sometimes creates a bitter aftertaste when you're using it to sweeten but when using it with tart fruit, it’s much better. So the combination with the lemon and the apple cider vinegar the combination with the Stevia works really well.

And it doesn't cause any hormonal adverse effects and so natural so as long as it's only pure natural stevia leaf extract.

Another good way to sweeten your soda is with all natural organic fruit concentrate such
as an organic apple juice concentrate.

No other sweeteners are really very good for you because the sugar has either fructose or glucose which causes adverse hormonal reactions in your body.

The important thing to consider in your sweeteners is to make sure it is unprocessed and unrefined.

The processed sweeteners cause problems in your digestion because they change the micro biome in your intestines. Many recent studies have shown that it's the micro biome in your digestion that determines how healthy you are going to be, and is connected to your weight.

So if your micro biome in your intestines is off, then you're going to gain weight much easier. So processed sugars can often cause condition in your intestines that messes up your micro biome and makes it more conducive to create bad bacteria in the intestine that causes you to gain weight.

With all this said, you’ll want to use sweeteners such as raw honey or maple syrup. Organic raw coconut palm sugar is another good option.

Start with just 1 teaspoon in your soda and taste it to get the desired sweetness right.

In the long run, you really want to be working to the point where your body is craves less and less sweet stuff anyway.

But I know this journey can be tough.

There was a time when I needed sweet in everything that I was drinking.

And now, I don't crave sweet anymore. What happens is the healthier you get the less your body craves those sweet things.

So this is a phenomenal drink to help your body lose weight.
