Video Conference Checklist

  1. Use a quiet location, think about your background.
  2. Turn off or silence your phones, log out of emails and instant messaging.
  3. This is a video chat, install a video camera (HD is preferred).
  4. Use an external microphone.
  5. Use a laptop or desktop computer.
  6. Have good front lighting, avoid windows.
  7. Ideal connection is an Ethernet cable (LAN) rather than Wi-Fi. Better connection, better video quality.
  8. Don’t make fast, jittery movements. Small movements on camera are better.
  9. You will be on camera so please dress appropriately.
  10. Set-up early so you can make sure everything is setup and working properly.
