Lady Rerun:  

Can you hear me?

Jon:  

Oh yeah, I can hear you now.

Lady Rerun:  

Hi, hi. Yeah, you can still call me Portia, yeah.

Jon:  

Okay, so, Kelly -

Kelly:  

Hello there, welcome.

Jon:  

This is Lady ReRun, also known as Portia, or I get to call her Portia.

Lady Rerun:  

Yes.

Jon:  

So how are you? How has it been over the last couple of days?

Lady Rerun:  

It’s been great. I love the visualization CD. I am just so into it. I mean, I’m rested. I’ve got it on my MP3 player, so I go on my MP3 player, I go into the menu, you know, I got my Jon Gabriel folder now. So my Jon Gabriel folder in my MP3 player has got a list of stuff now. And I go through my Jon Gabriel folder and I push the first one, which is the visualization, on the MP3 and I put my headphones in, lay down, relax, and it is the most relaxing thing that I’ve ever listened to in my life.

Kelly:  

Lady, could you share with us what happened on your show with Jon?

Lady Rerun:  

Oh God, it was very personal, it was very real. I actually forgot that I was on the air. That’s how real it was. I had the most profound revelation. Because, you know, I’ve been big all of my life and I never knew the real reason why, was because -

Kelly:  

For those of us who haven’t listened yet, what happened?

Lady Rerun:  

Well, I truly found out that I’ve been big all of my life because I have seeped my identity into my weight.

Kelly:  

Wow.

Lady Rerun:  

I felt like that if I — in the back of my mind, I felt like — and my body knew that if I lost my weight I would not feel safe. I would not feel secure. I would feel lost because my identity was so seeped into my weight. I felt like I would be unworthy, I felt like I would be nothing because I’ve always been identified by my weight.

And one of the main things was my father, because my father, he was a famous actor, Fred ReRun Berry, from the ’70s. He was a famous actor, a dancer, he basically brought pop locking and that form of street dancing into the mainstream. And I’ve always been told that I look just like him. "Oh, you look just like him. You look just like him." All my life I’ve been told that. So I started seeping my identity into that.

And you know, with me being big, and he was big as well, and in the back of my mind I’m like, "Okay, if I lose all of my weight, I won’t look like him anymore. Then who will I be?"
Kelly:  

That’s fascinating

Lady Rerun:  

Yes, yes, and it was -

Jon:  

Your whole identity, it’s a very threatening thing. I mean, if you feel on some subconscious level that when you lose your weight you’re going to lose your identity, that’s so threatening, that your body is going to do whatever it can to hold onto weight. So here you are trying all these diets, and your body’s fighting. It’s fighting for your identity. And so, you have to break that association which I really feel very strongly that we did when we talked on your show.

Lady Rerun:  

Yes we did. It was a profound experience. And Jon is good. I call him the guru, okay? He is the guru when it comes to visualization, when it comes to weight loss, when it comes to using your mind to discover your body, he is the all-time guru. Because he was like, "Visualize your fit self. Visualize your fit self telling your father, hugging your father, telling him, ‘I love you, but I let you go.’" And that was one of the most hardest thing that — even in my mind it was hard for me to let go. Even in my own mind. I mean, I was just like, what? What? It got so bad to where in my mind, I see my father even pushing me away from him and telling me, "You have to go. You have to let go." That’s how profound it was. That’s how serious it was. Like I said, I totally forgot that I was even on air.

Kelly:  

And this happened in one hour?

Lady Rerun:  

Yes, this happened in one hour.

Jon:  

Can I tell you, Kelly, and Portia, for me it was actually a very powerful experience, too, because even before you said that about your father pushing you away, I actually saw him in my — somehow I just had a vision of him like looking at you, holding both of your shoulders, and pushing you away but with love. He had so much love and just this profound appreciation and pride and happiness for you and this glean in his eye, like go fly. And I just, I felt it. And I saw that, and just as I’m seeing that you’re telling me that you had the exact same experience, which I thought was really cool.

Lady Rerun:  

It was. It was like an out of body experience. I mean, if people don’t believe in spirituality, that should make you believe in some kind of spirituality right there, because we were connected on a level that was beyond physical. Me and Jon was connected. Okay? Like, he was seeing the same thing I was seeing. Okay? It was just — it was one of the most profound experiences of my life and it has changed my life. Even in the last — it’s been three days. Even in the last three days, my choices have changed.
               
                I have a really bad habit of eating late at night, because I’m up at night because that’s when I’m marketing for my show. That’s when I’m submitting myself to casting calls. That’s when I’m really doing my thing. And my show is at night, so I had a really, really bad habit of eating — and eating real meals at night. Not just snacking. You know how some people snack at night? No, no, no, I’m talking about like eating dinner 11:00, 12:00 in the morning. And I know that is a very, very bad habit. So even now, it’s got to the point where, you know what? You need to eat earlier. You need to eat earlier because that’s not good for you. That’s a bad habit. 

        And my mind is starting to even think about my bad habits, and getting to the point where I’m correcting my bad habits. Okay? Just like the whole thing with the visualization CD, okay, you’re going to crave and you’re going to want more colorful, vibrant food. Now I’ve always been a vegetable eater, but — and the thing about it is, I would drown my vegetables. One of my bad habits is drowning my vegetables in butter, with margarine.
Jon:  

Let me just call you out for one second, Portia. Never use margarine. If you’re going to use anything, use butter, not margarine. Margarine is the worst thing you can put in your body. So I just want to make that note, just so you know. But go ahead.

Lady Rerun:  

Okay, and I understand that, and I knew that that was a bad habit. So the other day I had — because I love buying those frozen in the bag kind of things where you can microwave it right in the bag and steam it. I love those. Those are so perfect for me, convenient, and I love them. And I had the Brussels sprouts, so I went and I took the Brussels sprouts and I’m looking at them and I go in the refrigerator to go get the margarine, but then I look at the margarine and I’m like, you know what? And my stomach kind of gets a little sour and like, you know what, you don’t really want that. So I put the margarine back and I went and I got a little bit of — because my mom, she likes to use that seasoning that don’t have no salt in it. So I went and got me a little bit of that seasoning, sprinkled it on them and then I ate them without — and that was the first time I probably had ever ate some vegetables like that without margarine on it.

Kelly:  

Lady, can I ask you this question? This came from you deep inside. This is not something that you were told a bunch of rules.

Lady Rerun:  

No.

Kelly:  

This is coming from you.

Lady Rerun:  

No, I was not told — I mean, Jon did not give me where you need to cut out this, this, this, this, this, or you need to exercise this, this, this, this.

Kelly:  

No, Jon’s all about adding. Jon’s about adding.

Jon:  

Yeah, and especially addressing the real issue. Because before, your body was holding onto weight because it was fighting for its identity and it really thought it was doing something for you, so it’s going to make you hungry at night because eating at night is the best way to keep weight on, so you’re going to be hungry at night. And exactly — what you’re saying right now is exactly what I was looking for. I was looking for you to say that over the last couple days you have had different cravings, you’ve been making different choices naturally and organically, and that tells me that you hit the real issue and that your body is not holding onto the weight or not trying to keep the weight anymore, and that tells me it’s going to happen in a very organic way.

Lady Rerun:  

Yeah.

Kelly:  

I’m so excited for you, wow.

Lady Rerun:  

Thank you, thank you. I mean, and just little bitty changes. Even, I mean, I remember that first morning that I listened to the visualization CD, I work up refreshed and energized and ready to go. And usually I wake up sluggish and like, oh here we go, another day, oh blah, blah, blah, and where’s my kids because I’ve got to wake up. Not because I want to wake up. I actually wanted to wake up.

Kelly:  

I’ve been learning from Jon that those hours that we night eaters have eaten, are the times that our body’s looking to let go and looking to — you know. So we’re interrupting that natural — isn’t that true, Jon?

Jon:  

Well what’s happening, when you’re hungry at night, it means that your body wants to hold onto weight. That’s what it means. So when you stop being hungry at night, it means that you’ve gotten the real issue, your body does not want the weight anymore, and you will lose weight. And that’s what I’m hearing from Portia. You’re saying that you’re not having the same type of cravings; is that right?

Lady Rerun:  

No I’m not. I’m not having the same type of cravings.

Jon:  

Well this is going to be really exciting.

Kelly:  

Are you listening to it the CD once a day?

Lady Rerun:  

Yeah, I’m listening to the visualization CD at night. Actually, I just got the audio books and everything. I just got that today. So I was going to start listening to that in the mornings when I get up.

Jon:  

This is going to be a really exciting process and we’ll follow it, and if you want, we can follow it on your show or on my show on a regular basis. But what’s unfolding here is going to be really exciting, because I’ve been doing this long enough to know when it hits, and I can tell you it hit with you 100%. And no matter what you do at this point, your body has shifted and you will be losing weight. So we’re going to be talking about it over the next couple of weeks or next couple of months or just following it, and I think it’s going to be a really exciting journey for you. I really do.

Lady Rerun:  

Yes, it is. It’s going to be very, very exciting for me because this is going to be the first time in my life where I actually feel like something is going to actually work for me and work for me in the long-term range. Changing my mind first and then having my body tell me the changes I need, not somebody else who’s trying to get some money from me, not somebody else that’s trying to put me down, but actually -

Kelly:  

Right.

Jon:  

The whole point of my approach is — every approach that’s out there has the idea that you can somehow force yourself to lose weight through behavior management for years and years and years. And the fallacy in that is that if your body doesn’t want to lose the weight, it’s going to fight you. And your body can fight 24/7. So sooner or later your body’s going to win when your body’s fighting you. But when you get your body to no longer get you to want to hold onto the weight, when you hit the real issue and you get your body to no longer want to hold onto weight, it’s a very organic process. You’re not on a program, I don’t have to tell you a meal plan for the rest of your life or any of those things. You’re going to make healthy choices, you’re going to have more energy, and over time the weight’s going to fall off because your body doesn’t feel like it needs it anymore.

Lady Rerun:  

Wow, that is just like — I was listening before I got on, and I heard you, lady, what’s your name? I don’t want to call you lady.

Kelly:  

I’m Kelly.

Lady Rerun:  

Kelly, okay, Kelly, I was listening to you talking about thinking on it on a cellular level. And it’s actually ironic because when I’ve been visualizing for the last three nights at night with the visualization CD, I see my fat cells breaking down. I see it in my mind. I’m basically seeing at the cellular level, the breakdown and how it’s breaking down, breaking down, breaking down, washing away, breaking down, washing away, and I’ve been visualizing that process.

Kelly:  

I think that’s amazing that you got it so quickly and I’m so excited for you because of that. You know, we’re all in different places and I hear some callers say, "Well, I’m having a little trouble," and yeah, they’ll get it too, but it’s just so great to hear that right away, your higher being knew this is working, this is for me.

Jon:  

What I think is really kind of exciting is over the last couple years I’ve had many calls like this, where I talk to someone and it just rings the bell, and then they go off and they tell me they’ve lost all this weight. But to capture it on air for other people to hear and to benefit from it, too, I think is really exciting. Because then there’s so many other people that are going to be listening. And all I would, all of you that are listening now, to encourage you to listen to the show that we did, the Lady ReRun show, it was on Monday of this week, it was last Monday -

Kelly:

Lady Rerun:

Jon:  

All right, well that would be the best way to do it. If you do a search for Lady ReRun and Jon Gabriel, that show will come up and then you can listen to it. And you can hear how Lady ReRun had just this moment where it all made sense.

Lady Rerun:  

Oh my God, okay, and after you left, an hour after you left, I got so many call-ins with people talking about, "I was listening, you had such a breakthrough, oh my God, let me go look up The Gabriel Method." Everyone’s asking me questions, it was just — because they were astounded by it because they had never really — I mean, I’ve always been profound and I’m always real on my show, but that was the realest I probably had ever been live on my show. So it was a moment that my regular listeners were just like astounded. I got so many emails telling me, "Hey, we’re rooting for you, we know this is going to work for you, keep up the good work, you inspired us." I mean, I got so many emails from — mostly from women and even from some of the plus size models that I know where actually emails me and was like, "We encourage you, you are such an inspiration, we felt all of that was from your heart." I mean, even one person was even asking me, "Was that a publicity stunt?" I’m like, no.

Kelly:  

That is one of Jon’s gifts, in my opinion, is he gets to the heart of the matter. He gets to the heart so quickly.

Jon:  

There’s some other people coming and it’s interesting, this is a really good example of how when you get to the heart of the matter it all works. But then I get people that say, "Well, I tried your method and it didn’t work," and I say, "What do you mean you tried my method?" And they say, "Well I’m taking the flaxseeds and I’m taking the live food and I’m doing wheatgrass juice and it’s not working." To use you as an example, when you say I’m using your method, I’m using The Gabriel Method, what you’re really saying when you say I’m using The Gabriel Method is I’m finding the real issue why my body’s holding onto weight and I’m addressing that real issue.

        Now with you, Lady, with you, if you had just taken the book and you just started taking flaxseeds and all this stuff, it wouldn’t have the effect. It wasn’t until you were able to target the exact association of why your body was holding onto the weight. Now it’s going to work for you. So I’ve got a caller coming in now who says she’s been on it and she hasn’t lost weight, and I want to talk to her and see if we can figure out what she’s doing and what she’s not doing.
Kelly:  

It was so great to meet you. Thank you so much for sharing your story.

Lady Rerun:  

Okay.
